Wahl, Eversharp Fountain Pens

The Wahl-Eversharp Pen Company started out when the Wahl Adding Machine Company entered the writing instrument field by buying the EverSharp Pencil Company in 1914, and in late 1917 acquired a small, high quality pen company, the Boston Fountain Pen Company.
In 1918, Wahl began selling the Wahl Tempoint Pen. In 1921, Wahl introduced an all metal pen.
In 1927 Wahl began to produce plastic pens. In 1928, introduced the Personal Point fountain pen. Wahl produced a simple streamlined version of their Personal Point pens called the Equipoised (1930-1931) and followed them with the Doric pen (1931-1941). The Doric's design was very "Deco" with 12-sided shape. Doric pens used the roller ball clip until 1935 when a simpler Art Deco clip replaced it. The large sized Dories were discontinued in 1936, when Wahl introduced a large metal pen called the Coronet (1936-1941).
Some other pens produced by the Eversharp Company: The Skyline Pen (1941-1949). The Skyline was available in many colors and price ranges, from the simple black to the solid gold. The Symphony (designed by Raymond Lowey), the Envoy, and the Ventura Burp Pen.
